            if not fix
the broken or breaking

now that physics
            more mathematic
than mechanic
                        is applied
to spatial relations
to define
            we used to call it life-like—
the simulated—
                                                mosaic
                        our collected
fragments
when the untoward arrives

wherever threads—
tasseled and
frayed
hang     split
                        or worn off
the ends
            my love
these are for tears—
